Position Summary:

We are recruiting for an exceptional endocrine surgeon to join our dynamic Division of Endocrine Surgery. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence and academic contributions. The department provides a robust infrastructure of services to support faculty in their clinical and academic success.

Principal Duties:

Elective endocrine surgery practice including clinic based primarily at UW Health at the American Center (TAC). Operative practice will be based primarily at TAC with other locations possible depending on clinical demands. Call responsibilities include coverage of endocrine surgery patients as well as occasional general surgery coverage.

For those appointed to the CHS title track, academic responsibilities will include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Academic duties and responsibilities beyond baseline faculty expectations will depend on individual interests and expertise. Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD, DO, or equivalent, with additional fellowship training in endocrine surgery is required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Completion of a fellowship in endocrine surgery is required.

Candidates must possess clinical and academic credentials sufficient for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. Appointment as associate professor or full professor will require that candidate's credentials meet criteria for rank established by UW School of Medicine and Public Health Guidelines.

License or Certificate:

Candidate is required to have or be eligible for a Wisconsin medical license. Board certification or board eligibility in Surgery through the American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery or equivalent. Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.
