Position Summary:

Pediatric Pulmonologist to provide inpatient and outpatient clinical care, teaching, research and scholarly activities.

Principal Duties:

Provide clinical care to pediatric pulmonology patients, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, including interpretation of PFTs and other tests as well as participation in the division's outreach clinics. Provide teaching, in classroom, small group and in the clinical setting to a variety of learners. Pursue independent clinical research in an area of interest to the candidate and division.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

M.D., completion of U.S. pediatric residency and pulmonology fellowship programs

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Completion of U.S. pediatric residency and pulmonology fellowship programs. Interest in academic medicine, involving teaching to a variety of learners essential. Experience in an academic teaching setting preferred.

License or Certificate:

WI medical licensure; BC/BE in pediatric pulmonology

This vacancy is being announced simultaneously with [PVL# 98896]; please note that one vacancy exists. Having two position vacancy listings allows the School of Medicine and Public Health to consider candidates with both tenure-track faculty credentials and non-tenure track faculty credentials for this position.

Candidates for associate professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.
