Position Summary:

The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a Director of the Office of Medical Student Education (OMSE) and to fulfill a clinical role as a Clinical and Teaching Physician.

Principal Duties:

The OMSE (Office of Medical Student Education) Director develops and coordinates, with the assistance of faculty/staff, the activities of community, adjunct and academic family physicians in these areas: required core curriculum, extracurricular programs, family medicine electives, leadership, grants and curriculum development.

Responsibilities also include promoting/supporting student interest in family medicine. The physician will provide patient care within the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, which includes the full range of Family Medicine, and specifics are dependent on the candidate's interests and skills, as well as operational needs. The physician will also provide supervision of learners in the clinical environment.

The preferred candidate will have experience teaching, as well as experience working with a diverse population, or will welcome a commitment to teaching and working with a diverse population.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

M.D. or D.O.
Family Medicine

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Successful completion of a fully accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
Experience in Medical Student Education (teaching/administration) is required.

License or Certificate:

Wisconsin medical licensure required prior to start date.
Board Certified or Board Eligible for certification by American Board of Family Medicine.

Additional Information:
