Position Summary:

WIDA, an organization within the University of Wisconsin-Madison Wisconsin Center for Education Research, provides trusted tools and resources for educators of multilingual learners pre-K through Grade 12 ( WIDA offers a fully integrated, research-based academic language development system, including language standards, assessments, professional learning, research and technical assistance. This position will be housed within WIDA's Client Services Center (CSC), which is in the Marketing and Client Relations department. The CSC is a team dedicated to responding to educator inquiries via phone and email in a timely, accurate, and value-added manner. The team strives to make sure that the educator perspective is at the center of everything we do, so that all users find value in our products and services. The Client Services Center regular hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and extended during the winter from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Applicants must be available to work between these hours, especially the ability to work open or close shifts.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

B.A. or B.S. in education or related field required. PreK-12 classroom teaching/administration experience preferably in ESL/Bilingual Education, desired.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

* Experience working with Pre-K - 12 educators as a teacher, support services specialist, or administrator.
* Call center experience or experience answering high volumes of phone calls and/or emails.
* Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills.
* Proficient with computer applications including Windows-based computing systems and Microsoft Office products.
* Experience using a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM).
* Demonstrated history of strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to multitask and to exercise initiative, self-motivation, independent judgement and action.
* Experience navigating a web-mediated environment to identify appropriate resources.

* Familiarity with WIDA Standards and Assessment System and second language acquisition.
* Knowledge of distance education learning technologies.
* Working knowledge of Spanish or another foreign language.
