Position Summary:

The Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health seeks a neuropsychology researcher to join our expanding Charles Matthews Neuropsychology Lab at the UW Hospitals, VA Hospital and UW Health clinics. The position includes opportunities for teaching and research activities in an academic environment with adult and pediatric neuropsychologist and neurology subspecialists and faculty in other services including neurosurgery, neuroradiology, clinical neurophysiology and basic science research faculty. Principal Duties:

90% Develop independent, extramurally funded clinical research programs in neurology and pursue funding for research.

10% Teach medical students, residents, graduate students and trainees. Participate in continuing professional development programs.

Candidates at the rank of professor will hold a leadership role in the department.

The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Substantial experience in Neuropsychology research. Academic credentials and experience for appointment at the selected rank. Appointment at rank of Associate or full Professor in this tenure track that highlights excellence in research and aching, requires meeting criteria for appointment level as defined in School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to professor on the tenure track.

License or Certificate:

Wisconsin licensure or eligibility for Wisconsin licensure as a Clinical Psychologist.

Additional Information:

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment.
