Position Summary:

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking a full time radiologist, interested in pursuing an academic career in Thoracic Imaging at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor on the CHS (Clinical Health Sciences) Track.

Principal Duties:

The candidate filling this position will be specifically chosen for his or her expertise and interest in thoracic or cardiothoracic imaging. Clinical duties will include clinical interpretation of chest radiographs, cardiothoracic cross-sectional imaging studies including CT and MR, as well as other cardiothoracic imaging modalities as they evolve. The ideal candidate will explore new applications of 2D/3D imaging as applied to the chest. Teaching assignments will focus on cardiothoracic imaging and will include medical student, resident, fellow and other department trainees as appropriate. It is expected that the successful candidate will develop an interdisciplinary research program in thoracic or cardiothoracic imaging in conjunction with collaborators across disciplines at UW Madison.

The successful candidate will participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD Degree, Radiology, thoracic or cardiothoracic. Board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology. Thoracic or cardiothoracic radiology fellowship training or equivalent experience.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Applicant must be board certified or board eligible in diagnostic radiology. Fellowship training or equivalent experience. Expertise and interest in thoracic or cardiothoracic imaging.

Appointment at the Associate or full Professor (CHS) rank will require experience and credentials for appointment at rank as described in UW SMPH CHS Track Promotion and Appointment Guidelines and must be reviewed by the CHS Track Promotions Committee and approved by the Dean.

License or Certificate:

Wisconsin medical license eligible
