Position Summary:

This position is located at the UW Madison Veterinary Care, Pharmacy. This position will provide pharmacy services for the UWVC clients and participate in the instruction and educational experiences for veterinary and pharmacy students.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

BSPharm or PharmD required (Doctor of Pharmacy)

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Previous experience in veterinary pharmacy operations is strongly preferred.
Desired interests and experience:
Sterile and non-sterile compounding experience,
Teaching veterinary and pharmacy students,
Antibiotic stewardship.
Must have the ability to multi-task in a busy environment and have strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

License or Certificate:

Must be licensed as a Pharmacist in Wisconsin.

Additional Information:

Typically, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9:00am-6:00pm. Occasional Fridays may be needed. Duties will include rotating weekend and on-call responsibilities. Work schedule may vary occasionally to maintain staffing requirements for pharmacist coverage during periods of vacation, sick leave and continuing education.
