Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Medicine, the Division Head of Rheumatology will lead the clinical, research and education mission of the Division.

This position will be responsible for ensuring active collaborations among physician scientists in the School of Medicine and Public Health, as well as, across the UW-Madison campus and the adjacent VA Hospital. In addition to providing leadership to the research, teaching, clinical and service/outreach missions and activities of the division, the successful candidate will also participate in professional, public and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO); certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Rheumatology
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Completed accredited Rheumatology fellowship training.
Must be an acknowledged academic physician with demonstrated excellence in research, education and clinical care. Must possess a record of scholarly achievements, outstanding leadership skills, professionalism and an ability to develop interdisciplinary, collaborative programs. Formal experience in teaching, both didactic and in the clinical setting, of Rheumatology to learners enrolled in a Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or American Osteopathic Association Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (AOACOCA) accredited medical school and/or Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited program. Associate/Full Professor must meet criteria for rank per UW-Madison guidelines.
License or Certificate:
Eligible for Wisconsin medical license.
