The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH) IT Manager reports to the DFMCH ITS Director and provides and develops day-to-day operational oversight of IT function(s), program(s), or service(s) to support organizational and employee technology needs. This position will initially be responsible for oversight of the DFMCH End User Services group and the DFMCH Systems Solutions group. Additional groups may follow with time. The position will oversee day-to-day operations as well as participate in project planning, and execution of strategic and operational projects. The IT Manager will work closely with the ITS Director to develop and execute strategic plans based on departmental needs and initiatives. Additionally, this position will be expected to participate directly the execution of projects. This is a hands-on position with the expectation and that successful candidate will be involved in day-to-day work on projects.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
- A minimum of 4 years of IT Management experience required.
- Experience supervising at least three direct reports preferred. - Experience collaboration systems and technologies required. Microsoft Teams and SharePoint preferred. - Experience working in Healthcare environment is strongly preferred. - Experience coordinating teams and executing projects in a remote environment preferred. - Experience with HIPAA, FERPA or other technology-related regulatory compliance preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with the following: - Ability to support and foster positive working relationships at any level. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Supervision and leadership skills. - Ability to mentor and develop staff. - Ability to utilize standard office automation. - Understanding of and experience with project management. - Budget development and management techniques. - Ability to match technical systems and processes with business needs of an organization. Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience.
