Position Summary:

The Department of Surgical Sciences of the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine seeks an applicant for a position as a Clinical Instructor in the Radiation section. The position will include didactic, laboratory and clinical teaching of veterinary medical students, participation in patient care, and supervision of resident and continuing education for veterinarians.

Principal Duties:

Responsible for interpreting daily images and teaching house officers and instruct senior veterinary students in the following modalities; radiology, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, and diagnostic nuclear imaging. These images will be client owned patients that are seen at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Veterinary Care.

Additional responsibilities include didactic teaching in radiology courses for veterinary students in the first three years of the professional program. Development and delivery of continuing education materials for practicing veterinarians in image interpretation will be encouraged.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Board certified or board eligible in the American College of Veterinary Radiology.

License or Certificate:

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Wisconsin.
