Position Summary:

UW-Madison COVID-19 testing will be done through self-administered nasal swabs. Health Technicians work under the supervision of a testing site lead to assist with the collection of samples. Duties include explaining how to perform the test, observing employees and students who are self-administering the test, and coaching on proper testing techniques. This position requires wearing personal protective equipment and standing for long periods of time.

Additional Information:

Successful candidates must:
- Work through December 30th, ideally, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8am to 5pm
- Reasonable requests of time off will be considered
- Part-time commitments may be considered if a candidate can commit to working at least two full days per week, with the same days scheduled each week
- There is a possibility work will extend beyond December 30th
- Preference will be given to candidates who can work full-time
- Wear personal protective equipment for long periods of time

Work Schedule:

Testing hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a one hour lunch break. Most shifts will last 8 hours. There are both full and part-time positions available, but preference will be given to candidates who can work full time.

Appointment Type, Duration:

Terminal, 3 month appointment.
This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding

Salary:

Minimum $15.00 HOURLY
Depending on Qualifications
