Position Summary:

The Department of Chemistry of the University of Wisconsin-Madison is accepting applications for multiple positions at the tenured and tenure-track level, beginning August 2022. We seek outstanding candidates with research interests in all areas of chemistry. While preference will be given to applicants at the Assistant Professor level, applicants for senior positions will also be considered. Principal Duties:

A successful candidate will be expected to develop a vibrant research program in their area of specialization, teach chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, perform professional and university service as appropriate, and work with other department members to accomplish diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

A Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field is required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Candidates for the Assistant Professor title must have the potential to develop a vibrant research program in their field of specialization.

Tenured candidates must have demonstrated excellence in scholarly research, teaching, and service which meet the requirements for full or associate professor with tenure as determined by the Physical Sciences Divisional Committee.
