The Psychometrician position is located within WIDA's Assessment Department and will report to the Lead Psychometrician. This position will be responsible for 1) supporting the psychometric operational and research activities associated with WIDA's language assessments, 2) supporting the monitoring and evaluating of operational psychometric projects and analyses conducted by vendors, and 3) supporting the authoring and review of research reports and psychometric deliverables.
Working fully remote is an option for this position. ||Designs, administers, and evaluates quantitative tests and instructional resources for the measurement of neuropsychological functioning within educational environments.
- 75% Analyzes, researches, and proposes solutions to current and future psychometric data and problems and communicates solutions with internal and/or external stakeholders to support the development of educational resources
- 10% Designs and implements psychometric tools to assess learner ability and/or enhance learning outcomes in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and staff
- 10% Serves as a subject matter expert and disseminates technical psychometric concepts across various mediums, including non-technical audiences

Field of Educational Measurement or related field with an emphasis on psychometrics or quantitative methods.
* Minimum 1 year of training and experience in psychometrics theory research and statistics. Examples may include classical test theory, item response theory, scaling and equating, sampling, generalizability theory, linear modeling, or structural equation modeling.
* Strong computer programming skills for data manipulation and statistical/psychometric analyses. Required computer skills include the ability to program in measurement and statistical software such as Winsteps, Bilog-MG, SAS, STATA, R, or other related software packages.
* Computer programming skills such as Flexmirt or Python preferred.
* Familiarity with multistage adaptive testing and graded response IRT models.
* Ability to write technical and research reports.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Experience collaborating with external vendors or partners is preferred.
* A value of promoting and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion.
* A willingness to engage in and deepen knowledge of WIDA's Social Justice value.
