Job Summary:

ATP is transforming the finance, human resources, and research administration support environment across the UW-System, while focusing on people, processes, and technology. This includes the selection and implementation of a new Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system (Workday) to support the changes. The activities will include the review and redesign of business processes (including use of shadow and bolt-on IT systems), redesign of the chart of accounts, and integration of efforts with several ongoing University and UW System projects. The Workday Reporting and Prism Lead will serve a vital role within the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP). The University of Wisconsin is embarking on the ATP to redesign its Human Resources and Financial systems and services, while focusing on people, processes, and technology.

The Workday Reporting and Prism Lead is responsible for designing and developing best practices around Workday Reporting and Workday Prism Analytics, development of Prism use cases and pipelines, mentoring and leading team members in Workday report development, and will coordinate with the System Implementation Partner, Workday team, and ATP program teams to develop recommendations and solutions to complex business problems. The Workday Reporting and Prism Lead will participate in and serve as a team lead in all design activities, work activities, meetings, content development, content review, and review of related critical materials within the Data and Reporting team. This individual may also act as the point of contact between the Design Team and other project groups.

Responsibilities: Consults with stakeholders throughout the institution in support of addressing priorities and solves complex problems while ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • 20% Provides consultation, advice, and expertise to stakeholders to identify and solve problems
  • 15% Coaches and advises leaders on building organizational capacity and navigating change management
  • 20% Conducts gap analyses and develops approaches, strategies, and structures for achieving desired outcomes
  • 5% Designs and delivers meetings, retreats, and other engagements to assist clients in aligning organizational goals and resources
  • 25% Conducts analysis in support of projects and requests, utilizing independent judgment in selecting information for developing models for consideration
  • 15% Supervise and/or direct lower-level consultants

Bachelor's Degree


1. Experience developing Workday Prism Analytics pipelines or developing reports in Workday
2. Experience in analysis, design, and/or implementation of reporting solutions
3. Experience as a Project Lead, Team Lead, or Supervisor

Starting salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Anticipated duration of this position is 3-4 years. End date is dependent upon project completion.

This position will operate in a hybrid format where some work will be performed in-person, onsite, in Madison, WI, and some work will be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus location. Ability for full-time remote work may be possible.
