Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin - Madison, School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking an Events Manager to manage all events within the Department. The Department of Radiology's mission is improving human health through innovation in clinical care, imaging research and education. Responsibilities: Directs daily operations of events, including monitoring the budget and/or supervising event planning staff to ensure that operations run efficiently, economically, and in line with department goals and policy.
  • 60% Establishes and executes day-to-day operational functions and goals of events to align with existing strategy
  • 10% Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures
  • 15% Monitors the budget and approves expenditures
  • 15% Establishes and sustains relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Education:

Qualifications:

Required:
1. Minimum of three years of experience in event planning.
2. Experience scheduling and organizing complex event logistics with attention to detail.
3. Experience monitoring and processing data and transactions.
4. Experience providing customer service and support.
5. Strong written and verbal communication with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues in many different areas.
6. Experience in Webinars, Video Conferencing and Hybrid events.

Preferred:
1. Experience with project management tools and database applications.
2. Experience with event registration and ecommerce platforms.
3. Experience in the development and delivery of marketing and communication materials.
4. Experience overseeing or providing leadership support to staff and/or volunteers.
5. Experience working in or managing a call center with a high volume of traffic.

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 75% - 100%

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary:

Minimum $55,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Additional Information:
