Job Summary:

This position will manage the Badger Market in the Medical Sciences Building. Duties includes hiring and
scheduling of staff, ordering food beverages and supplies, monitoring budget and providing customer
sales and service according to quality food, sanitation, production and services standards.

Responsibilities: Performs customer service and related activities in campus catering operations following established procedures and best practices to assure high quality catering services.
  • 20% Leads service for retail venues and catered events
  • 20% Works with catering customers to establish menus, service styles, and other details of catered events
  • 20% Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
  • 20% Schedules, trains, and guides service staff and bartenders
  • 15% Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas
  • 5% Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures

Education:

Preferred
H.S. Diploma

Qualifications:

Prior experience in stocking and merchandising store products, ordering and maintaining product inventory, working with POS (Cash Handling) and food ordering software. Prefer minimum 3 years in convenience/coffee house industry.

License/Certification:

Required
ServSafe Certification
Able to obtain within 3 months of hire.

Work Schedule:

Primarily Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm with a 30 minute lunch break. This position is required to work occasional weekends, holidays and special events.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
