Job Summary:

The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division performs approximately 9000 ultrasounds with nine sonographers in a state-of-the art diagnostic unit.

Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical services, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as involvement in the academic missions of the Department including research, education, and advocacy. MFM faculty care for the highest risk pregnancies, provide consults for high-complexity cases, and staff a busy antepartum service. The Maternal-Fetal Medicine division performs approximately 14,000 ultrasounds with 20 sonographers in a state-of-the-art diagnostic unit. We have a well-established ADA-recognized diabetes in pregnancy program. The UW obstetrics services have been primarily located at UnityPoint-Meriter Hospital for more than three decades with nearly 5,000 deliveries annually in a modern facility with a pleasant work environment. Duties also include participation in departmental and divisional conferences, departmental and hospital committees, and quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
- Completed four-year approved/accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board certified or eligible.
- Three (3) years of an accredited maternal fetal medicine fellowship. Board certified or eligible.

License/Certification:

Required
MD - Physician - State Licensure
Eligible for Wisconsin medical license.

Work Type:

Full or Part Time: 50% - 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
