The selected candidate will serve as an Electrophysiologist in the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Applicants must have invasive cardiology skills covering the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic EP including Lead Extraction.

Responsibilities: |
Clinical Track responsibilities: Clinical teaching and patient care responsibilities at UW Health approved locations; participation in research including quality initiatives, clinical trials, and/or participation in cardiac registries. Additional research will be determined by the selected candidate. Clinical teaching of Fellows, Residents and Medical students on ward services and clinics.
CHS track responsibilities: Clinical teaching and patient care responsibilities at UW Health approved locations; pursuit of basic, translational and/or clinical research including clinical trials and participation in cardiac registries. Additional research will be determined by the selected candidate. Clinical teaching of Fellows, Residents and Medical students on ward services and clinics. Participation in research endeavors of the Division expected.
The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members

Required Terminal Degree Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

Qualifications: |
Board Certified in Cardiology required Board certified/board eligible in Electrophysiology required
For appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on CHS Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS Track.
For appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
The department will not be able to support a request for a J-1 waiver. If you chose to pursue a waiver and apply for our position, neither the UW nor UWMF will reimburse you for your legal or waiver fees.
