Job Summary: |
The Professional Learning (PL) Coordinator position is located within the Educator Learning, Research, and Practice (ELRP) department and will report to the Assistant Director of ELRP. This coordinator will be working and collaborating closely with two other coordinators within the department. This position will moderate online professional learning events to support facilitators and participants for productive trouble-free experiences. This includes supporting client experiences by examining online PL offerings and their materials in Canvas and SharePoint to identify broken links, confusing directions, errors, and other areas of improvement. The coordinator will communicate and schedule internal and external program events hosted by a variety of teams within the department and support the coordination of resources, data, and materials in our online system. This position has a variety of administrative tasks to support the coordination of the department's work including, but not limited to, light editing, printing, and shipping of workshop materials, supporting the layout of documents, and collaborating with marketing for communications to be sent to our consortium members. The coordinator will also be responsible for communicating details and logistics regarding ELRP events and requirements to external consortium members, as well as answering questions and communicate logistics and requirements for professional learning events.
Working fully remote is an option for this position within the US (working remotely internationally is not an option). Responsibilities: |
Organizes the development and delivery of outreach programs, including the responsibility for staffing. Assists with policy development and organizes resources to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Strives to expand and ensure access to programs, facilities, and educational services to diverse audiences.
- 15% Directs the implementation of program policies and procedures
- 5% Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships to promote the outreach program
- 25% Schedules and secures logistics and resources in support of an outreach program
- 15% Schedules day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
- 20% Identifies opportunities for program improvement or new outreach program development
- 10% Coordinates SharePoint file system and the printing and shipping of materials
- 10% Coordinates collection and management of design data

Qualifications: |
Required - Minimum of 1 year of experience providing service and support to external clients. - Strong administrative and organizational skills. - Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams). - Professional friendly personality and ability to interact with a variety of individuals. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - A value of promoting and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. - A willingness to engage in and deepen knowledge of WIDA's Social Justice value.
Preferred - Experience with reviewing and editing documents for clarity and accuracy. - Experience hosting and moderating meetings on web platforms. - Experience coordinating activities in a fast-paced environment. - Multilingual or bilingual/biliterate in Spanish.
