TECHNICAL OPERATIONS PROJECT MANAGER summary: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Center for Health Disparities Research (CHDR) Data Operations team to help provide technical project management and strategic guidance for data-driven projects and operational development. In collaboration with center leadership, this individual will provide functional direction to the data operations team and other stakeholders, including affiliated scientific staff, to further research efforts. This position will primarily facilitate both large- and small-scale Data Operations team projects related to the Neighborhoods Study - a multisite study comprising 22 Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers across the US investigating social determinants of health in the context of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia. Additionally, this individual will contribute to other CHDR goals of a technical nature, including facilitating the development of a novel collaborative infrastructure of contextual exposure for future social-biological phenotypic evaluation. This position will be an integral member of a team of Data Engineers and Data Analysts that work with a variety of programming languages including Python, R, SQL, MATLAB; neuroimaging tools such as FSL, Freesurfer, and MRICron; geospatial tools such as ArcGIS; and Microsoft Azure cloud-based technologies. This individual will provide essential support in planning projects and setting milestones, assessing needs and balancing priorities in alignment with center goals, triaging issues and proposing alternatives, and communicating technical concepts to a broad audience. As such, the ideal candidate for this position will possess technical understanding and/or experience in one or more of the following conceptual areas: data science, data engineering/warehousing, computer science, cybersecurity, and research data management.
