HEALTH TECHNOLOGIST - ENVIRONMENTAL WISCONSIN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH Madison
The Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) serves as the public, environmental and occupational health laboratory for the State of Wisconsin. This position independently provides a wide variety of program support to administrative, supervisory and support services at the Agriculture Drive laboratories of the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) and The Wisconsin Occupational Health Laboratory (WOHL). WOHL has a contract with the United States Department of Labor, Occupational Safety, and Health administration (OSHA) Consultation Program to provide laboratory services. WOHL is the central laboratory for 46 states participating in this industrial hygiene program; WOHL also does lab analysis for WI Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), Department of Health Services (WDHS), universities, private consultants and private homeowners. This position's main duty will be to provide data management support to WOHL and other SLH departments. Responsibilities include entering and verifying sample information in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for flow of information throughout the lab. This position must consistently provide worldwide customers with excellent quality and exceptional service (in person, via e-mail and telephone) by providing sampling related advice, pricing and other lab related information in an informative and positive manner. The incumbent adheres to all American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) requirements for maintaining laboratory accreditations.
MEDICAL PROGRAM ASSISTANT WSLH/CDD/MICROBIOLOGY Madison
This is a data-entry position that provides program support to the Communicable Disease Division's supervisory, professional, and administrative staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: understanding and use of medical terminology; entry of patient demographic, clinical, and billing data; interpreting patient history and diagnoses into the patient database; responding to requests for medical information; maintenance of peripheral equipment and inventory of computer and laboratory supplies; participate in the development of policies, procedures and guidelines to improve administrative and/or operating effectiveness; other duties as assigned.

This individual will be an integral part of an active lab that studies prostate disease initiation, progression, drug resistance, and clinical biomarkers for personalized treatment modalities. PULMONARY FUNCTION RESEARCH LABORATORY TECHNICIAN SMPH/MEDICINE/ALLRGY&IMM Madison
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to be part of a nationally recognized research enterprise studying the development and treatment of allergies and asthma. This position will be a key contributor to several federally funded, multi-center clinical trial networks that use pulmonary function testing in research participants from early childhood through adulthood. This position will serve as the Pulmonary Function Technician (PFT), responsible for the lead support and quality control (QC) for all study activities involving pulmonary function testing. Given that study staff across these networks perform pulmonary function procedures thousands of times a year, the PFT position is critical to the efficient, accurate, and safe conduct of the studies. This position can operate remotely, however, periodic travel to sites to assist with staff training and setting-up or repairing equipment is required. Most sites require proof of COVID vaccination in order to enter buildings. The PFT is required to utilize investigator-level decision-making skills; remaining current on trends in the field by attending meetings, reading scientific journals, and interacting with colleagues. The PFT will prepare reports and present findings at internal and professional meetings.
