This position provides complex administrative support to the Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Division (APCCM) of the Department of Medicine (DOM) through daily interaction with high level faculty and staff members. The Medical Program Assistant Associate will coordinate and perform a wide range of duties to provide administrative and clinical support to the faculty, division and department. This position assists faculty members and the Division Administrator in the successful performance of their clinical, teaching, research and administrative responsibilities while maintaining a thorough knowledge of relevant policies and procedures of the division, department, school and university. This associate level position also coordinates and participates in meetings and facilitates effective communication with persons external to the APCCM Division such as University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC), University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation (UWMF) and Veterans Administration Hospital (VAH). This position requires excellent computer skills, organizational abilities and interpersonal skills. It also requires the ability to work confidentially and independently while dealing with diverse communities of faculty/academic and health care/physician environments. CYTOGENETIC TECHNOLOGIST WSLH\CYTOGENETICS\LABORATORY Madison
This position includes a primary role in the fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) section. Duties include: FISH analysis, sample harvest and slide preparation on prenatal, postnatal and neoplastic specimens from a wide range of tissue/specimen types.
