The Community food systems Program Manager works with faculty, staff, and partners to develop needed community food systems program activities and manages the Community food systems Extension Program. This position manages and supports outreach educational programs designed to build the capacity of community residents, leaders, organizations and First Nations to build and enhance place-based food systems to improve community health and well-being. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT EXTENSION EDUCATOR-ST. CROIX AND POLK COUNTIES EXT/YFCD/COMM/OGDV/ORG LDR DE Baldwin
The Community Development Extension Educator designs, delivers, and evaluates research-based educational programming and services aligned with the position’s programmatic focus. Initial programming focus will include organizational development and capacity building with a focus on community and youth serving organizations, and strategic planning and facilitation. The successful applicant may choose between St. Croix County (Baldwin) or Polk County (Balsam Lake) for their office location.
HEALTHY EATING, ACTIVE LIVING OUTREACH PROGRAM MANAGER EXT/YFCD/HLTH/HLTH&WELL INST Wisconsin
The Healthy Eating, Active Living Outreach Program Manager provides statewide leadership for the development, implementation, and evaluation of Extension educational programs executed by Extension educators located throughout Wisconsin. Current healthy eating, active living programming efforts include promoting food security, preventing chronic disease, food preservation education, promoting youth voice in school health and wellness planning and community coalition coaching. The office location will be determined at the time of hire.
PROJECT QUATERNARY GEOLOGIST EXT/ANR/NR/WGNHS/WGNHS Madison
The Project Quaternary Geologist under the supervision of Project Principle Investigators (Project PIs), will provide lab and field support to quaternary research and mapping at WGNHS. This position will start July 1st 2019 primarily work on four projects; USGS State map, USGS Great Lakes, USFS- Drummonds, and DNR Central Sands. This position is also accountable to the State Geologist. Day to day activities will be supervised by Project PIs with the Assistant Director of Administration serving as back up supervisor. The position description represents a general outline of job duties, expectations, responsibilities, and is not intended to be comprehensive in nature. This position may periodically supervise students or temporary staff that will assist with these tasks.
AGRICULTURE EXTENSION EDUCATOR-DODGE AND FOND DU LAC COUNTIES EXT/ANR/AGR/AGRICULTURE INST Fond du Lac
The Agriculture Extension Educator designs, delivers, and evaluates research-based educational programming and services aligned with the position's programmatic focus. Initial programming focus will include crop production and management, including cropping systems, agriculture technology, integrated pest management, alternative crops, nutrient management, agricultural economics, agricultural entrepreneurism, farm sustainability, and educational support for local agricultural groups, including Master Gardeners. This is a multi-county position, the home office will be chosen by the selected candidate, based on space availability and county needs.
AGRICULTURE INSTITUTE DIRECTOR EXT/ANR/NR/NATURAL RES INST Wisconsin
The Agriculture Institute Director is a senior level administrator who will provide organizational and cross-disciplinary leadership for the Agriculture Institute within the Division of Extension. This full-time role will be responsible for strategic, financial, and operational oversight of Extension Programs within the institute, including Crops and Soils, Dairy, Farm Management, Horticulture, and Livestock. The Institute Director reports directly to the Associate Dean of the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources for management and supervision, hiring and employment authority, employment changes, compensation and benefits, supplies and expense budget, development and approval of their plan of work, and performance reviews. The office location will be determined at the time of hire.
