The research enterprise in the Department of Surgical Sciences includes both clinical and basic science research by multidisciplinary research groups. This position is housed within the Comparative Orthopaedic and Genetics Research Laboratory, but provides support to all faculty in the department. The Comparative Orthopaedic and Genetics Research Laboratory is located in the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Financial support for this position includes service revenue that is largely derived from provision of calcified tissue histology research services to research groups outside of the UW Madison campus.
