The Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is seeking a Pathology and Professional Services Section Head to join our team. This position will lead our Pathology and Professional Veterinary Services Veterinarians, Pathology Sciences Group, and be part of the WVDL Administrative Team. There is also a clinical services requirement as part of the daily caseload and provision of time for academic endeavors including teaching, outreach, and research. The WVDL is a State of Wisconsin agency that is administered by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Our doctoral staff hold joint appointments at the School of Veterinary Medicine. A major part of our mission is to support Wisconsin veterinarians and the agricultural industry, which is reflected in our case load that is approximately 90% bovine, 8% poultry, and remaining 2% for companion animals and exotics. Our laboratory is accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (AAVLD) and is a Level 1 laboratory in the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN).
